Women’s pavé-set wedding bands feature .01-.02 carat diamonds set low and close together to create a cobblestone effect using small metal beads well disguised beneath a canopy of sparkle. Pronounced ‘pah-vay’ (from the French word ‘to pave’), this timeless style is our most popular diamond setting type for women’s wedding bands, with the volume and density of diamonds producing an all-over glow.
When smaller carat diamonds are used it is known as a micro-pavé setting, typically featured in thin wedding bands.
White gold is the preferred choice for pavé-set wedding bands, as it blends well with our diamonds, allowing them to sparkle effortlessly with minimum metal visibility.
When used in halo engagement rings, pavé-settings can make a low-set centre diamond appear larger and more brilliant thanks to the added sparkle from the accent stones.
